Biography

THE SMOGGERS (Seville,Spain) After almost 18 years on stage and more than twenty studio works in Studio, Alive and compilations (in different formats: albums, singles and EP’s) behind them, we can say that we are facing one of the most consolidated Spanish bands in the European garage scene. The Smoggers are, without a doubt, worthy heirs to the best revivalist garage of the 80’s. Following the way of their idols of the past (The Fuzztones, Morlocks, Cramps, Cynics or Chesterfield Kings…) they have known how to rescue the essence of that sound and bring it to the present day, to become one of the most renowned Garage Rock bands. . Their participation in the most prestigious European festivals endorse them (Cosmic Trip in France, Go Wild in Holland, Gutter Island in Denmark or Freakland, Motorbeach or Espina Fest in Spain), as well as their numerous tours throughout England, Germany, Denmark, Holland, Italy , Portugal or France. With their latest LP’s “Shadows In My Mind” (February 2016), “Dark Reaction” (summer 2018), “Get Stoned on Fuzz” (September 2019), «Funeral» (2022) and «My Last Rock’n’Roll» (2024).they have become one of the garage combos of head of the prestigious German team Soundflat Records. The reviews and critics in the most contrasted musical media of the genre (Route 66 in Spain, Bananas Fanzine NYC, Records Collector, or the mythical Shindig Magazine in the UK, which compares them with the groups published by the mythical label Voxx Records; along with interviews in the Fanzine NGG in the UK, Dig It! in France or Popular1 in Spain), present them as a very dark band with a devastating live show. In fact El Beasto Recordings released «Live With the Evil. Live in Madrid» An album recorded alive with a powerfull sound. Now, They were introducing their «MyLastRock’n’Roll» LP (Soundflat Records, 2024) till now where you can find hard straight garage rock based on powerful and heavy guitars, hypnotic keyboards, an imposing new rhythmic base and vocal melodies that ooze pure Rock’n’Roll everywhere in their savage garage sound attack.
